Travaux de recherche organisés selon 3 axes principaux :

1. Les processus de deuil et l’adaptation des proches (conjoints, enfants) après le décès d’un patient atteint de maladie somatique.
2. L’ajustement psychologique des patients atteints de cancer, et notamment des patients porteurs d’une mutation génétique (communication familiale, transmission, impact familial de la découverte d’une prédisposition génétique, mise en sens).
3. Les répercussions d’une maladie grave (psychiatrique ou somatique) sur l’adaptation des adolescents et des jeunes adultes.

Ces axes de recherche font l’objet d’une démarche scientifique adoptant une méthodologie mixte, quantitative (utilisation d’échelles) et qualitative (par exemple Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, ou utilisation de logiciels d’analyse qualitative comme QDA Miner).

• Délais au diagnostic des cancers de l’enfant et de l’adolescent : que peuvent nous apprendre les patients, les parents et les médecins traitants ? (DIASTEM). Étude subventionnée par l’INCa
• La place des pairs dans une Unité Adolescents Jeunes Adultes : adaptation, soutien social et deuil. Étude subventionnée par la Bourse Gilles Thomas.
• Étude de la dynamique des processus d’incertitude en oncologie.
• Évaluation de la qualité de vie des enfants atteints de cancer en situation palliative.
